On 6th June 2026, the Rotary Club of Dibrugarh, under its flagship initiative Project Positive Health, organized a Diabetic Foot Care Awareness Programme at Marwari Arogya Bhawan Hospital, Jyotinagar, Dibrugarh. The programme aimed to educate diabetic patients, caregivers, and the general public about the importance of foot care, early detection of complications, and preventive measures to reduce the risk of diabetic foot ulcers and amputations. The session featured Dr. Sudhir Kumar Jain, Chief Diabetic Foot Surgeon, Sun Valley Hospital, Guwahati, who shared valuable insights on prevention, treatment, and healthy foot care practices for diabetic patients.

On 17th February, the Rotary Club of Dibrugarh supported a brave Class IX student from Amolapatty undergoing blood cancer treatment at Dr. B. Borooah Cancer Institute, Guwahati. Essential food items were provided to assist her family, and Rtn. Dr. Kalyan Khound provided a required heart check-up free of cost. President Rtn. Babita Rajak and PDG Rtn. Kalpana Khound visited her to extend care and encouragement — living the Rotary motto, Service Above Self.

Rotary Club of Dibrugarh Forms Interact Club at DP

On 29th April 2026, the Rotary Club of Dibrugarh proudly formed the Interact Club at DPS Dibrugarh, marking a meaningful step towards nurturing young leaders and community service among students. Interact Clubs are Rotary-sponsored youth clubs that encourage leadership, teamwork, social responsibility, and active participation in community development initiatives. The newly formed club will be led by President Krishna, Vice Presidents Akshat and Nipeksha, Secretary Yashika, and Treasurer Chaitanya. The club begins its journey with an enthusiastic membership of 23 students under the guidance of Faculty Coordinator Ms. Mauchumi Dey. The Rotary Club of Dibrugarh looks forward to supporting and mentoring these young changemakers in the years ahead.

Sanitary Pad Dispenser

Rotary Club of Dibrugarh on 13th November, 2025 proudly donated a Sanitary Pad Dispensing Machine to Little Flower School, Dibrugarh, an initiative aimed at promoting menstrual hygiene and ensuring easy access to essential sanitary products for young girls. This machine was generously gifted to our club by PP Rtn. H.R. Jaiswal of Rotary Club of Gorakhpur, whose thoughtful contribution made this service project possible. Rotary continues to work “United for Good”, empowering communities and supporting the well-being of young students through impactful initiatives.

HEALTH CAMP AT KASTURBA GANDHI SCHOOL

On 16th November 2025, a Health Camp was successfully organised at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya, Lahoal, by the Rotary Club of Dibrugarh. A total of 127 students underwent health check-ups during the camp, and free medicines were distributed to all beneficiaries. Specialist doctors present included Dr. Rina Ahmed (Gynaecology) and Rtn..Dr. Pawan Bajaj (Dermatology), who provided dedicated care and guidance to the students. The programme aimed to promote health awareness and ensure basic medical support for the young girls. The school authorities expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Rotary Club of Dibrugarh, the doctors, and all volunteers for their valuable contribution.

Maternal and Child Healthcamp

In alignment with Rotary’s monthly theme and the motto Service Above Self, the Rotary Club of Dibrugarh organized a free maternal and child healthcare camp on 27th July at Beheating Tea Estate. The camp was conducted with the active support of gynecologists Dr. Rina Dutta Ahmed and Dr. Gitismita Kakati, along with a dedicated team of pharmacists and medical staff. A total of 118 patients—including pregnant women, mothers, and children—received medical consultations and free medicines. This initiative reflects Rotary Club of Dibrugarh’s commitment to community outreach and accessible healthcare, especially in underserved areas.
