The Club had the honor of hosting Dr. K. Rekha Devi, Scientist F and Senior Deputy Director, ICMR–RMRC. Dr. Rekha Devi delivered an insightful address on the scope of collaboration between ICMR–RMRC and the Rotary Club of Dibrugarh. Key highlights included: Proposal for organizing a General Health Camp in partnership with the Club. Inclusion of Tuberculosis (TB) screening as a focused component of the camp. Assurance of support from ICMR–RMRC in the form of a mobile van equipped with X-ray facilities to enable on-site TB diagnostics.

In Loving Memory of Zubeen Da

Rotary Club of Dibrugarh, along with Rotaract Club of Dibrugarh, held a Shraddhanjali on 21st September to mourn the untimely passing of our beloved Zubeen Garg. 💔 With heavy hearts, members sang his songs, remembering the voice that became the heartbeat of Assam. His melodies gave us joy, his words gave us hope, and his music will live in our souls forever. Assam weeps today, but Zubeen Da’s voice will never fade.

Rotary District Awards

The Rotary Club of Dibrugarh was honoured with a total of 7 awards at the Rotary Service Awards 2025, held on August 23 at Hotel Aurum, Siliguri, and hosted by RC Siliguri Central. Among these, the Club received the prestigious 2024-25 Club Excellence Award for outstanding service and member experience, along with a Certificate of Appreciation for the impactful Global Grant Ganeet Setu Maths Education Project, implemented across 20 schools in Assam and Himachal Pradesh.

RC DIBRUGARH HOSTS RLI

RC DIBRUGARH Successfully hosted RLI Part I, II & III on the 16th and 17th of August. It was two days of intense learning, interaction, and exchange of ideas about the Rotary world. Members from nearby clubs including Tinsukia, Duliajan, Digboi, Doomdooma, Sivasagar, and Naharkatia enthusiastically participated, making the program truly enriching and impactful. A heartfelt thank you to our facilitators for imparting their knowledge and guiding us through this meaningful Rotary learning journey.

61st Installation Ceremony

The Rotary Club of Dibrugarh celebrated its 61st Installation Ceremony with grace and pride. The Chief Guest was Prof. Ajanta Borgohain Rajkonwar, Vice Chancellor of Assam Women’s University, Jorhat, and the Guest of Honour was Dr. Bhaskar Bora, noted author, speaker, and founder of Irene Minds. The ceremony marked the installation of Rtn. Babita Rajak as President and Rtn. Ipshita Borgohain as Secretary for the Rotary year 2025–26. The new Board of Directors was formally pinned and introduced. PDG Rtn. Kalpana Khound served as the Installation Officer and conducted the proceedings with Rotary spirit. The event reflected the club’s enduring commitment to service, leadership, and fellowship, setting the tone for a purposeful and impactful year ahead.
